EZStream

About us

The company behind the device, and the limits of what it does.

Who we are

An independent retailer, not a broadcaster

supplies consumer electronics direct to customers in New Zealand and overseas. We are a retailer. We do not own content, we do not operate a network, and we are not part of any television, satellite or streaming company.

The product

What EZStream™ actually is

It is a compact plug-and-play media device. It connects to the HDMI port on a television — the same port a games console or a Blu-ray player uses — and joins your home Wi-Fi. From there it runs streaming apps on a screen that would otherwise have none, which is why it is useful on an older set that was never smart to begin with.

What it needs to work
A free HDMI port, mains power, and a working internet connection.
What it replaces
The need for a newer television, or a second box per app.
What it does not replace
Your internet connection, and your own subscriptions to paid services.
Plain speaking

What we will not tell you

This device does not unlock paid television for free. It does not include a subscription, decrypt a signal, or give access to anything you are not already entitled to watch. If you want a paid service on it, you sign in to that service with your own account, exactly as you would on any other device.

We also will not tell you which apps will be available to you a year from now. App availability is decided by the app owners and by the rules in your country, and it changes. What is on the device today is what we can speak for today.
